We have truly been blessed with a precious daughter. Everyday she tells how much she loves us and enjoys being with us. I so hope this will continue through her adult life, that her parents are so cool to hang out with. As you can tell, I am so proud of her and hope she has a blessed life.

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
samenamejanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09302238865174405281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733647477440120661.post-19853756424898074282012-12-31T21:05:00.001-06:002012-12-31T21:06:26.466-06:00Scrap Happy Challenge #3Here's the next challenge for our Scrap Happy group. We are to use Project Life journaling cards in a non PL project. This one was fast and easy for me. Fast for me is a couple of hours. I like to linger in the process.
This is a picture of me when I was 4 yrs old. We spent many of our summer days at my Aunt Ruth's house playing till dark. I so loved playing with my Barbie.
I have made use of scraps and pulled from many different projects to create my layouts. Good way to use up those extra pieces laying around. I gather my thoughts and inspirations from Pinterest. What a wonderful tool that has been created for us. Pinterest is so addicting. Wouldn't it be nice to have your choice of houses and craft rooms like the ones on Pinterest. Anyway, I will keep dreaming.
Hope this layout inspires to use those scraps and left over goodies.

Happy Crafting,
I took scraps and package decorations to embellish my page. I like to shop Target's after clearance sale for Christmas goodies. It's fun to use the unexpected on my pages.
This is a picture of my daughter dressed up for the Christmas Sadie Hawkins dance. She was so cute and had asked her friend Sam to go with her. Two quiet kids didn't last long at a crazy dance.

Happy Crafting my friends!

I have to share one of the best things I did all year:

Joining a group over at Big Picture Classes . Heidi Swapp presented a new style of Scrapbooking and Memory Keeping with her file folder system. She created a new line of fabulous products just to increase your crafting addiction.

She also has a weekly short video tutorial over at My Craft Channel that keeps me up to date on all the new things she is working on. I also like to cruse her blog every day to see what lovely goodness that she and her design team have created. Every now and then she has free downloads that add to all the goodness of those new projects just wanting to be created.
Here's just a few of my folders that I created using Heidi's instruction. What a great way to add multiple pictures into one great project. Go check her blog out today. You will be glad to make more pretty stuff.
Life would be so much easier. But I will have to stay where I'm at since this is where God plans on me being. He's hasn't gone wrong yet. Some days I go along kicking and screaming not wanting to get with the program. Wouldn't it be nice if you could stop and restart your life in a totally different direction? Stuff that we accumulate over the years becomes anchors to our freedom. Burdens to our souls. All that we have in the end will be our memories. Life could be shortened without a moments notice. Which in turn validates my Memory keeping, scrapbooking and paper crafts addiction. Just thought I was going to be sappy now didn't you. Can't be too serious.

This was a fun project that I participated in at True Scrap 4 . Gretchen Schmidt had a class on page sketches. These are really fun to do. Love to add layers of embellishments. Looking at my page here on my blog and just realized I forgot to add my journaling. LOL

Here's a link to Lain Ehmann's blog. She is the lovely creator of True Scrap 4. One wonderful class after the other. Full of tutorials and special freebies. There will be another fun filled weekend coming next spring and I can't wait.

samenamejanehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09302238865174405281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733647477440120661.post-58563456998822508182012-11-20T22:07:00.000-06:002012-11-26T18:57:04.198-06:00Blank pages scare me. Where do I start? Who will see this? Will anyone like this? All these questions roll through my mind and probably not alone. I love to create. That's who I am. I'm a tinkerer (if there's such a word) just like TinkerBell. By profession I am a Medical Technologist (26 years) and maintain large Chemistry analyzers for a local hospital. I guess you might also call me a mechanic. I enjoy learning and figuring out how things work, how the mechanics can affect the results in numbers. Quite amazing if it's your cup of tea. I can remember watching my Dad gut the motor of a truck and put it all back together. I enjoyed watching him tinker. I learned some valuable life lessons during those years.

Back in April this year, I received and e-mail just out of the blue from Big Pictures Classes. They must have known I was on the search for something new to create. It happened to be a sign up for Heidi Swapp's new classes on Memory Files. This looked very inspiring, so I jumped in for the chance to learn something new. Just as expected, it was a new way to scrapbook and fulfilled those tinkering urges. I enjoyed building and measuring. Challenging my self to how many pictures I can stuff into a Memory File. The idea was awesome for getting things done, finished quickly and add pictures. But then another draw back. Got to have those pictures developed, off the computer and on the page. I am slowly getting them downloaded to Shutterfly and using those coupons when they are available. A few thousand pictures can certainly add up.

Here's one of my latest Memory Files I created from Heidi's class. I cannot take credit for the front page design. I scraplifted the idea from an Instagram picture that Heidi posted. She has such wonderful talent and I love to see what new projects she will come up with next.

The inside of the project is created using her instructions from the class. I like to create the projects as she instructs and then modify them using other papers, embellishments and themes of my own.
